The Story Behind Habitster
It all started in 2024. I've always been the kind of person who'd create schedules and routines—only to abandon them a few days later. I realized this pattern had to change. So I began digging deep into how habits actually work. I watched countless YouTube videos, read books like Atomic Habits by James Clear, and experimented with what I learned.
That's when I came up with a personal system: giving myself points for good habits and deducting points for bad ones. I tracked streaks and even completed a 100-day No Sugar challenge. The results were amazing—but maintaining the system was a nightmare. I had to juggle between different apps, create new tables and pages daily, and it became overwhelming. Eventually, I gave up on it altogether.
That's when the idea for Habitster was born.
A productivity app that combines everything I learned with a gamified approach—rewarding good habits, tracking streaks, reducing bad ones, and making the process fun and addictive (in a good way). I shared the concept with my friends, did more research, and together we started shaping something truly meaningful.
In a world full of apps designed to waste your time, we're building one that helps you take it back.
Thank you to everyone who's supporting this journey. We're just getting started.
